FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- I saw a media report about corrosion issues in LDV vehicles. Is my vehicle affected?
We are aware of corrosion concerns that may affect certain LDV T60 and G10 vehicles. If you believe your vehicle shows signs of corrosion, please contact LDV Customer Relations via the form above or on 1800 841 921 for further assistance.
- What is causing the corrosion in these vehicles?
We are currently working closely with our technical teams and suppliers. We are taking all customer concerns seriously and will continue to assess and address each vehicle on a case-by-case basis.
- Will my vehicle be repaired under warranty?
If the corrosion is confirmed to be a manufacturing defect, we will repair the affected areas under warranty. If your vehicle is outside the warranty period, we will still assess the issue and work with you towards a fair resolution.
- My vehicle is out of warranty – what can I do?
Even if your vehicle is no longer under warranty, we encourage you to report the issue. We will review your case, and depending on the assessment, we may still be able to assist you.
- Do I need to take my vehicle to a specific dealership?
Yes. Your vehicle must be booked in for assessment at an authorised LDV dealership. If your preferred or regular dealership does not have availability, you may arrange for your vehicle to be assessed at another authorised LDV dealer with capacity. Alternatively, you can contact LDV on 1800 841 921 if you have trouble locating a dealership or making a booking.
- How long will the repair take?
Repair times may vary depending on the extent of the corrosion and workshop availability. Once your vehicle has been assessed, you will be provided with an estimated timeframe.
- What if I purchased the vehicle privately?
If you bought your vehicle privately you are still entitled to have it assessed. Please provide us with your vehicle details, including proof of purchase if available, so we can assist you accordingly.
- What is LDV doing to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future?
LDV continues to work closely with the manufacturer and suppliers to improve materials and processes. Quality control and factory measures have also been implemented to prevent similar issues from occurring.
- I had my vehicle assessed at a dealership for corrosion, but I haven’t heard back. What should I do?
We apologise for the delay. If you've already had your vehicle inspected and haven’t received a follow-up, please contact the dealership first for an update. Should you not have any luck, please contact LDV Customer Relations via the form above and please provide the details of your visit, including the dealership name and date of assessment. We’ll follow up on your behalf and ensure your case is reviewed promptly. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’re here to help move things forward.
- Is my vehicle safe to drive?
Once your vehicle has been inspected by an authorised LDV dealership, the dealer will advise on their findings and confirm whether there are any safety concerns. Pending inspection, you may continue to drive your vehicle as normal. If you have any concerns or notice a change in vehicle performance, please contact LDV on 1800 841 921 and we will assist further.
- Can I have the corrosion inspection done when I have my next scheduled service?
Yes. A corrosion inspection can be carried out by an authorised LDV dealership at the time of your scheduled service. However, a booking is required to ensure sufficient time is allocated for the inspection.
- Will I receive a written report from the dealer on the extent of any corrosion issues and the planned repairs?
The LDV dealer will undertake the corrosion inspection as outlined by LDV Australia. The report will be sent to LDV Australia for assessment and a decision will be made on the course of action for your vehicle based on the assessment guidelines. If any repairs are approved and completed, the dealership will provide a service tax invoice upon completion of the repairs.
