FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- I saw a media report about corrosion issues in LDV vehicles. Is my vehicle affected?
We are aware of corrosion concerns that may affect certain LDV T60 and G10 vehicles. If you believe your vehicle shows signs of corrosion, please contact LDV Customer Relations via the form above or on 1800 841 921 between 9AM - 5PM (AEST) on weekdays (excluding public holidays) for further assistance.
- What is causing the corrosion in these vehicles?
We are currently working closely with our technical teams and suppliers. We are taking all customer concerns seriously and will continue to assess and address each vehicle on a case-by-case basis.
- Will my vehicle be repaired under warranty?
If the corrosion is confirmed to be a manufacturing defect, we will repair the affected areas under warranty. If your vehicle is outside the warranty period, we will still assess the issue and work with you towards a fair resolution.
- My vehicle is out of warranty – what can I do?
Even if your vehicle is no longer under warranty, we encourage you to report the issue. We will review your case, and depending on the assessment, we may still be able to assist you.
- How long will the repair take?
Repair times may vary depending on the extent of the corrosion and workshop availability. Once your vehicle has been assessed, you will be provided with an estimated timeframe.
- Do I need to take my vehicle to a specific dealership?
Once we have validated if your vehicle is within the range, we will confirm and request you book into an authorised LDV dealership for assessment and repairs. If your regular dealership does not have capacity, you may arrange for your vehicle to be seen by another authorised LDV dealer with availability or contact the Call Centre on 1800 841 921 who will confirm booking arrangements on your behalf.
- What if I purchased the vehicle privately?
If you bought your vehicle privately you are still entitled to have it assessed. Please provide us with your vehicle details, including proof of purchase if available, so we can assist you accordingly.
- What is LDV doing to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future?
LDV continues to work closely with the manufacturer and suppliers to improve materials and processes. Quality control and factory measures have also been implemented to prevent similar issues from occurring.
- I had my vehicle assessed at a dealership for corrosion, but I haven’t heard back. What should I do?
We apologise for the delay. If you've already had your vehicle inspected and haven’t received a follow-up, please call 1800 841 921 and provide the details of your visit, including the dealership name and date of assessment. We’ll follow up on your behalf and ensure your case is reviewed promptly. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’re here to help move things forward.
- Is my vehicle safe to drive?
Once the dealer has inspected your vehicle, the dealer will advise the extent of any corrosion (if any). At that time a decision will be made about the safety of the vehicle. In the meantime, if there is no corrosion sighted you can continue to drive your vehicle while you wait for the inspection. If you are concerned, please contact 1800 841 921 and we will follow up on your behalf.
- Can I have the corrosion inspection done when I have my next scheduled service?
Yes, it can be done at your LDV dealer as part of a scheduled service.
- Will I receive a written report from the dealer on the extent of any corrosion issues and the planned repairs?
The LDV dealer will undertake the corrosion inspection as outlined by LDV Australia. The report will be sent to LDV Australia for assessment and a decision will be made on the course of action for your vehicle based on the assessment guidelines.
